We also offer family counseling, trauma counseling, & life-skills programing. All of our programing can be customized to better align with your treatment goals.

Heard by a Horse: Equine Assisted Therapies

EAP is an experiential & solutions oriented form of therapy. The use of horses in a session, makes it easier for the participants to see the feedback in an emotionally safe space. New behaviors, actions and emotions become permanent when new neural pathways are built during an experience. Horses make these experiences more defined as their feedback is immediate, non judgemental and as they seek congruence from the participant. With the help of a licensed mental health professional, the participant will get the opportunity to experience and discuss their challenges after completing a designated activity with the horses.

Therapeutic Horsemanship

We have several programs that fall into this category and would love to work with you to develop a new program to better fit your program goals. With this in mind, there are many behaviors, thought processes, and leadership skills that can be altered and learned through building a relationship with a horse. We utilize natural horsemanship techniques, guided activities, and skill building to create new experiences that encourage growth, teamwork, and improved communication skills.

Sober Recovery

Recovering from addiction comes with a unique set of challenges. Equine Therapy allows the participant to receive immediate feedback during sessions which fosters changes and movement from addiction to sobriety. Seeing this feedback will aid us in making changes in a session, that translate into our lives as well. Horses can offer a safe way to make amends, admit our shortcomings, and help us take personal inventory of our feelings in a nonjudgemental and understanding way that can give the confidence needed to do these things in our daily lives.
